Cracking the Conspiracy is an excellent science fiction adventure that will test your puzzle solving skills to its utmost level. The story starts as you open a delivered parcel sent by an old girlfriend, Kelsey Hart, who left you many years ago to do some scientific research on some deadly viruses in a remote facility located somewhere in Nevada. The parcel contains a communication device holding seven encrypted and highly classified Air Force documents. Kelsey once owned this Communicator and now it reaches your hand because some terrible thing happened in Area 51 of Roswell base in Nevada, which tends Kelsey to escape leaving behind this communication device. Now, play as John and proceed to Area 51 in a janitors disguise, explore the area, crack the encrypted document codes by finding the clues scattered around in Area 51, unravel the most dangerous conspiracy that was kept secret from the world and finally, rescue your lover and girlfriend.
The beautiful background graphics are pre-rendered in 3D and animated characters are overlaid onto them to provide some real eye-candy. Puzzles are very challenging at some time but solving them greatly entertain the players. The most obscure feature in the game is the typing of dialogues at those few occasions where you have to interact with the game characters. Music is very atmospheric and greatly elevates the fun in the game. In fact, Cracking the Conspiracy is one of those few games that I would love to recommend to every adventure gamers without any hesitation. |
