Zero Critical is an interesting science-fiction and mystery adventure game attached to the famous name of Istvan Pely, the legendary game developer who also brought us excellent adventure games like Syn-Factor and Majestic. The game was initially known as Satin Rift when it was under development but later released with its present title. In the game, you play as Chatt Rhuller, an agent from Interstellar Transportation Commission (ITC) and you have been sent to a research facility situated on Rheom 1, a planet of eternal daylight, to investigate a murder committed by a chief scientist, Dr. Victoria Fayn. Dr. Victoria was current assigned to research a secret project named SATIN when she killed one of the scientists in self-defense, who actually went insane and attacked her. Your job is to investigate the actual cause of the victim's insanity because this is not the first time that someone has gone insane and dangerous in this research facility, which some people believe is due to the constant daylight.
The atmospheric and futuristic graphics presentation of this game is quite good, which is definitely due to Istvan Pely's masterpiece graphics skills. The digital original music and sound effects are also of great quality and meshes well with the surroundings. Excellent quality puzzles are one of the best features in this game, but slightly marred with a bit clumsy interface. Overall, Zero Critical contains most adventure game element that makes it an enjoyable and traditional game worth playing. |
