Description

Chewy: Esc from F5 is a funny graphical adventure game about a pink cartoon style alien called Chewy. You play as Chewy, who gets caught by the evil Borkian while trying to escape from their huge space-station, F5. The intro shows how you and your friend, Clint, break into F5, Borkian's heavily guarded space-station and steal the powerful Red Glum, which the Borkian use in their evil plans. Chewy gets caught and thrown into a cell while Clint manages to escape F5 in his spaceship but crashes on a strange planet called Earth after getting caught in a wormhole. The quest that begins here includes finding a way to escape F5, finding and rescuing Clint.

The game is completely controlled by a point and click interface, commonly found in earlier LucasArts and Sierra On-Line games, with an array of action icons like use, walk, talk and look to manipulate. The inventory can hold a lot of items and the size has no bar. While the puzzle are very logical they are mostly inventory based and of use-this-on-that type. Music and sound effects are quite nice and don't bother at all in the game. On the whole, it's a considerably good adventure game and must not be overlooked by serious adventure gamers.
